If you haven’t seen this second season there will be spoilers…so if you’re planning on watching be forewarned!

I really enjoyed the first season of Squid Games. Even when it felt hopeless I felt like the characters had arcs and we were on a journey. Our hero went from being someone who only cared about himself to actually caring about others. To me that was the ultimate arc and we had a story that really had meaning and resonance. In a way I felt like after the season finished that there really wasn’t any more story to tell. Then I saw we were getting Squid Games 2. Hollywood and IP milking is nothing new and especially after the success of the first series it wasn’t really that much of a surprise. Being a fan of the first series I figured why not let’s give it a shot. The first episode hooked me in with the continuation of our two original main characters and I was interested enough to keep watching. But then something happened…I started to get frustrated and I couldn’t figure out why…
